"Hatha Yoga is a sheltering retreat for those scorched by all types of pain. For those engaged in the practice of every kind of yoga, hatha yoga is like the tortoise that supports the world." -Hatha yoga Pradipika
Learn the principles of traditional yoga- often called Hatha Yoga. In Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga, Hatha means sun/moon. It is built on the idea of creating wellness though balance, both physical and mental. In this workshop we will explore and experiment with common held postures found in many beginner classes. We will dicuss the link between postures, breathing, and meditation as a path to self-awareness and wellbeing.
Whether you are brand new to yoga, want to encorporate some of these elements more deliberately into your current practice, or maybe you have questions that you never found a good time to ask during a group class- this is a great workshop for you.
